Yippee Wightlink is back

Yippee Wightlink is back. Got here on time for the 10pm sailing to be told we changed schedule to now 11pm. No text to say change of schedule. Website says everything is running on time. Now have to wait for 1 1/2 hours. So yes folks probably the most terrible customer service company in the uk is back.

Very poor customer service.

Very poor customer service.Had to cancel due to Covid. After a month of no refund I chased.I could only contact via email and was informed 'You're email is important to us and we aim to get back to you within 28days'.28 days! For an email responseTotally not customer focused.I eventually got through on the phone and the operative was helpful but said my refund would only be partial and had not been processed and I needed to fill in and return a form (first I'd heard and I specifically paid for a refundable ticket). Then it would take upto 28 days to process. They do not care about the customer so please avoidLet's see if I eventually get my refund

They should be regulated

Like lots of people, when we saw that from the 17th May we would be able to visit our family on the Island for the first time since last summer, we were really excited. A quick look on the Wighlink site on that very evening soon put a stop to that. Prices had catapulted up and are now at £200 for a return sailing in May. Both my wife's parents and my mother live on the Island and we haven't seen them since August. In all the years we've been sailing to the Island we've never seen prices like this and now we're not going to be able to visit them thanks to Wightlink pushing up prices as high as they think tourists will be able to tolerate. Why don't they do a Mutilink pass for non-residents so that family of residents can visit them without having to pay hundreds of pounds every time they do? Even if this was at a higher price than the standard multi-link that would be reasonable. The answer to that question is obvious though: they've got us by the proverbials - "cough up or you don't see your family".This has gone far enough; they should have their prices regulated.

Unregulated

Unregulated. Hold everyone to ransom. Stupid prices. In bed with government mp's and officials so nothing will ever be done. Prices up during covid. Scum

Price increased by £10 in five minutes…

Price increased by £10 in five minutes of searching for a discount code. That's corruption for you and clever these cookies. Fortunately I have the option of travelling red funnel so wightlink can get lost and get nothing for this trip. Rip off company. Hence the low reviews they keep getting

Not impressed with customer service

With my two dealings with customer service i must say I was underwhelmed and not impressed, but Shane from credit control was very quick with a precise response to my query.

Unfortunately not cheap

Unfortunately not cheap, so only four stars. Service excellent however, particularly on the Yarmouth Lymington route and you get a trip through the New Forest. Staff are so helpful, no fuss, no bother. Unlike the rude, unhelpful staff on their competitor service!

Just came off the 1100 from Fishbourne

Just came off the 1100 from Fishbourne, the ferry was absolutely packed, Wightlink claim they have arranged the furniture on their ships to aid social distancing, but the tables and chairs are the same as before so people are pretty much sat on top of each other - this was on St Clare. My family and I felt very unsafe with no safe refuge to seek, apart from outside where the weather was grim. How they're allowed to operate at full capacity I've no idea. We'll use Red Funnel from now on

Please retrain your staff

No doubt its the worse ferry service across Europe, highly unreliable service even in ordinary weather conditions, poor time managment, no compassion towards passengers, unhelpful customer services.Plz retrain your staff before its too late, employ trainers from Europe to retrain your staff. Your worst reviews are more than 70 percent of the total reviews left on review sites, I humbly request UK government to please consider cancelling Wightlink licence as no will to improve service.

I have just spoken to Charlie (female)

I have just spoken to Charlie (female). Although I stated that I have two sailings to the mainland via their car ferry terminals during the same week. Let’s not talk about the cost) I have been asked to self isolate on both occasions by the hospital where I receive treatment; in case, the ferries are overly busy, ie coach loads, then I’m not risking anyone or myself. She was extremely blasé and unsympathetic! In other words couldn’t care less!
